Dry-cleaning is a cleaning process for clothing and textile using an organic solvent rather than water. Dry-cleaning is necessary for cleaning items that would otherwise be damaged by water and soap or detergent. Fabrics made from Wool, Silk, Acetate, Acrylic, and Linen are mostly best dry-cleaned. Some of these fabrics could be permanently damaged when cleaned with water especially garments made from Wool and Silk fibres.
